Privacy Policy
Effective January 1, 2026
This policy describes what Bound for Europe collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.
The short version
We collect what you type into our forms so that we can reply to you and plan your trip. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to see which pages are useful. We do not sell your information, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not share your details with anyone except the service providers listed below.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Trip inquiries. Your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), preferred way to be contacted, and the details you share about the trip: destinations, dates, who is traveling, budget range, interests, and anything you write in your own words.
- Email signups. Your email address, and your first name if you give it.
- Emails and calls. Anything you send us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across websites or build a profile of you. It records page views and a small number of anonymous events, for example that someone started the planning form, with no personal details attached.
- Referral information. When you submit a form, we record how you first arrived at the site (for example, a link from Instagram or a search result, or campaign tags in the URL). This is stored in your browser for the length of your visit and sent only when you submit a form. It tells us which channels are working; it does not identify you.
- Server logs. Our host records standard request information, including IP addresses, which we use to keep our forms from being abused by automated traffic.
Cookies
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you are not being asked to accept any. The planning form temporarily stores your answers in your own browser (session storage) so that you do not lose them if you navigate away mid-way. That data never leaves your device until you press submit, and it is cleared when you close the tab. See our cookie information for details.
Why we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and plan your trip.
- To make the bookings and reservations your trip requires, which means sharing the relevant details with the hotels, guides, and transport providers involved.
- To send you the guide or newsletter you asked for.
- To understand which pages and channels are useful.
- To prevent spam and abuse of our forms.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the providers that make this site work, and with the travel suppliers your own trip requires:
- Resend; sends our email and stores our mailing list.
- Vercel; hosts the website and provides analytics.
- Travel suppliers; hotels, guides, drivers, and tour operators, but only the details needed to make your specific booking, and only once you have asked us to book it.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept for as long as we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, since travelers often come back. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
- Access or deletion. Email kerry@bound4europe.com and ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. We will do it.
- Corrections. Tell us and we will fix it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under California, Texas, or European law. Exercise them by emailing us; we do not require a form.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Where a trip involves children, we collect their details from the adult booking the travel, for the purpose of that booking only.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and held with the providers listed above. No system is perfect, but we do not store payment card details on this website at all.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top. If the change is significant and you are on our mailing list, we will tell you.
